What is it?

Humans are born to reconnect and recover. Human beings live in and are shaped by an ecology of social relationships. Creating Connections gives practitioners a way to visualise and map relationships, vulnerability and resilience across four ecological levels: self, family, significant others and wider community, and can be applied to any domains of human need. Reconnection and recovery arise from resilience within that network of relationships.

Who finds it useful?

Anyone whose practice can be enhanced by exploring the links between individual and community vulnerability and resilience. Managers, supervisors and system leaders andthose passionate and generating self-healing communities.

What learning does it support?

Reflective practice, building resilience, tackling compassionate fatigue, moral injury, burnout and secondary trauma.

The course was really interesting and the trainer was engaging and knowledgeful. I would like more of my team to take part in this training and hear the same messages...

It will help me both personally and in my practice. I feel more confident in my knowledge when speaking with staff in school and now feel I have practical strategy that I can share. It has also made me reflect on where people might be on the compassionate reason grid and on my parenting at home and making sure we follow the five to thrive model!
