Five To Thrive as a model for secure attachment
What sort of training is it?
The Five to Thrive model enables us to notice what happens inside us when we attune to a child in order to meet their attachment needs. Research shows that noticing attunement enhances and increases it, and that attuned relationships build brains. This course will enable participants to integrate this understanding into practice so that they can explain and consistently model the activities that build and maintain healthy brains.
What Will I Learn?
- Understanding of how adults are fundamental to building healthy brains in children through exploration of neuroscience and relational practices.
- Practical strategies to enable participants to embed learning and transfer new skills to practice.
- Includes resources to use in day to day practice and to share with colleagues.

I am mid way through completing level 1 DDP and this tied in and was really relevant within this too, so it consolidated my learning.
