James is a highly experienced and committed educational professional with a high level of problem solving and strategic analysis skills who currently continues to teach part-time.

He is exceptionally skilled in working with a wide variety of people, especially under challenging circumstances. Very adept at presenting complex ideas clearly and intelligently to a wide range of audiences and establishing a positive culture and ethos.

James has a particular commitment to inclusion and education of those who face challenges in accessing appropriate education. James is the founder of the 'Finding Common Ground' project a free service which offers independent advice to parents and carers so that they can engage positively with their child's school. James is himself the parent of 2 adopted sons.

James also provides associated training for education and social work professionals. He is an Assessor for the Inclusion Quality Mark (IQM) as well as being a NASEN (National Association for Special Educational Needs) Associate.
